This is a 1:12 scale plastic model assembly kit that recreates the iconic orange & green liveried Mazda 787B that came first in the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as setting a new class distance record for the circuit with 362 laps being completed. The winning car, number 55, was driven by three drivers: Johnny Herbert (British), Volker Weidler (German), and Bertand Gachot (Belgian/French). It used a 2.6-litre quad-rotary Wankel engine – for comparison, the second-place finishers in the Jaguar XJR-12LM had a 7.4-litre V12!
